Dr. Prabhakar Naik            Co-Founder & Director

Dr. P. Y. Naik is one of the founders of INTOX, and is the whole time Director of INTOX Pvt. Ltd. He is the Test Facility Management of the GLP organization of INTOX.

 

Dr. Naik has a long experience of over 40 years in regulatory toxicology and allied subjects. Now a well known figure in the regulatory toxicology in India, Dr. Naik initially served at Seth G. S. Medical College (KEM Hospital), and then at the Haffkine Institute in Mumbai. Thereafter he actively worked for 15 long years in the capacity of 'Head- Biology Division' for Indian Institute of Toxicology (Pune), a proprietary toxicology CRO, since its inception in 1981 by his senior colleague Late Dr. M. B. Bhide and headed it after his demise in 1992.

 

Dr. Naik, completed his Ph.D in Applied Biology, in 1989 from Bombay University. He has undergone 'Advance Course in Toxicology' (BIBRA) from London, in 1990. Dr. Naik is member of many professional bodies / societies related to Toxicology / Animal Welfare. He has number of publications in National and International Journals. Dr. Naik is a recipient of the 'Distinguished Scientist Lifetime Achievement Award - 2009' of the Society of Toxicology, India.

Dr. Narendra Deshmukh      Co-Founder & Director

Dr. Narendra Deshmukh is one of the founders of INTOX, and a whole time Director of INTOX Pvt. Ltd. He looks over the responsibility of the Technical Director and Test Facility Management in the GLP organization of INTOX.

Dr. Deshmukh is a Diplomate of the American Board of Toxicology (DABT). Being a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, DVM (BVSc & AH) in 1987, Narendra Deshmukh  earned his  Master's degree (M. V. Sc.) in Veterinary Pathology in 1990 from the Department of Pathology, Bombay Veterinary College, Mumbai. After working in a toxicological CRO for about 5 years (1990-1994) he joined Ranbaxy Research Laboratories, New Delhi, where, during 1994-1996, he contributed notably in establishment of the first pre-clinical toxicology laboratory of its New Drug Discovery Research (NDDR). During his experience of over 30 years in regulatory toxicology   and   toxicologic  pathology, Dr. Deshmukh has been involved in planning and executing several types of large numbers of safety assessment studies on a diverse range of products such as chemical and biological pharmaceuticals including vaccines and therapeutic antibodies, plant protection products, GM plants and medical devices.

As a part  of his  academic       outreach, Dr Narendra Deshmukh is a Vice President of the Society of Toxicologic Pathology- India (STP-I, 2021-2023), which is affiliated to International Federation of Societies of Toxicologic Pathology.  Earlier, since 2010, he also contributed in India’s first Board Certification System for Toxcologic Pathologists, and was one of the Directors and Charter Diplomates of the Indian Board of Toxicologic Pathology (IBTP). Dr Deshmukh also is a member of the Board of Studies in the faculty of Zoology at the SP University of Pune, India.

Dr. Deshmukh has undergone several trainings in GLP and is a WHO Certified GLP trainer. A member of multiple professional bodies / societies, Dr N S Deshmukh has several publications at his credit in National and International Journals.

Dr. Mukul Pore 

Co-Founder & Director

Dr. M. P. Pore is one of the founders of INTOX, and is the whole time Director of INTOX Pvt. Ltd. He looks over the responsibility of the Technical Director & Test Facility Management in the GLP organization of INTOX.

Dr. Pore is a Diplomate of the American Board of Toxicology (DABT) and is also an European Registered Toxicologist (ERT) since 2009.

With a degree in Veterinary Medicine (BVSc & AH) in 1986, Dr. Pore earned his Masters degree (M.V.Sc.) in Veterinary Pathology in 1989 from the Department of Pathology, Bombay  Veterinary  College,  Mumbai.    Dr. Pore briefly worked for Bombay Veterinary College and later in a toxicological CRO for about 7 years (1989-1996) before cofounding INTOX in 1995-1996.

Dr. Pore has designed and conducted toxicology studies for diverse kinds of products - Pharmaceuticals, Agrochemicals, Biotechnology Products, Speciality chemicals, Vaccines, Medical Devices, Industrial chemicals etc. during his experience of over 30 years in regulatory toxicology.

Dr. Pore has undergone several trainings in Regulatory Toxicology, GLP, and is also a GLP trainer. Also active in Animal Welfare issues, he is a Fellow & Associate of ‘Academy of Sciences for Animal Welfare, India’ and is an Ad Hoc Specialist for AAALAC International, USA (since 2009).

 

He is a member of many professional bodies / societies including Society of Toxicology (SOT, USA), Royal Society of Biology (UK), Indian Society of Toxicology (STOX), Chinese Society of Toxicology, Japanese Society of Toxicology (JST).

 

Dr. Pore received the ‘Fellow of Society of Toxicology (FST)’ award by Society of Toxicology (STOX), India, for the year 2009. He was member of ‘Board of Studies-Biotechnology Management’ University of Pune (2014-16). Nominated as ‘Veterinary Expert’ on the Technical Committee (Pune District) of  Maharashtra Biodiversity Board (2018-2021), by Government of Maharashtra.

 

President of "ToxGurukul Foundation" registered non-profit organization of Toxicologists (since 2019).
